Our Classes
-
Our no-gi jiu-jitsu program is built for everyone from first-time students to experienced grapplers. Classes combine technique, drilling, games based scenario training and live rounds, with different sessions available depending on your experience and training goals. Classes include: Jiu-Jitsu - All Levels, Jiu-Jitsu - Fundamentals and Jiu-Jitsu - Advanced
We recommend beginners attend at least two to three fundamental classes per week to start.
-
Develop the takedowns, control and movement needed to become more confident on your feet. Classes focus on wrestling skills that translate directly into no-gi jiu-jitsu through technique, drilling and live situations.
-
Build striking skills through footwork, movement, punches, kicks, combinations and pad work. Classes are designed to develop technique, conditioning and confidence, with dedicated sparring sessions available for students ready for controlled live training.
-
Our kids program combines jiu-jitsu with movement, athletic development and age-appropriate challenges. Younger students focus on coordination, simple positions and learning to work with a partner, while older students progress into more technical drilling, positional training and guided rolls. Throughout the program, we emphasize confidence, composure, safe training and respect for others. Classes are separated by age groups 4–7 year olds and 8–12 year olds.
New students are given the opportunity to attend classes for one week on a trial basis to ensure KANU is the right fit.
-
An age-appropriate introduction to kickboxing where kids develop movement, coordination and striking fundamentals in a structured environment. The focus is on building skill and confidence while reinforcing the KANU values of Kindness, Respect and Discipline.
Kids Kickboxing classes are only available for kids ages 8 to 11.
-
A dedicated class for parents and kids to get on the mats together. Learn jiu-jitsu, stay active and share the experience in a relaxed environment designed to make training enjoyable for the whole family.
